Tampa 2003
August 2003: This was the year we lovingly crafted a lot of our props

John Howard's ghastly image starts to appear

And the sharks...

A stormtrooper begins to emerge

"Decency" and "Justice" which got tossed overboard.

"One more cut: Howard's throat."

A bit early just yet. Give it another 30 minutes or so.

Always some last minute sorting out..

Our first model Tampa was
not practical on a windy day.

Fleur does an interview for the telly.

Stormtroopers started to arrive and work out their act. For "ring-ins" these kids were really very good..

The crowd starts to arrive.

Defence Minister Peter Reith who would rather leave drowning refugees to the sharks, represented here as the biggest "shark" of the lot.

The stormtroopers - who, in an act of supreme piracy, Peter Reith authorised to board the Norwegian vessel, the Tampa.

Immigration Minister Phillip Ruddock (centre) who, for his "excellent contribution" to this horrible affair, was later rewarded by being made Attorney General, in which post he committed more dreadful deeds.

In front of him, at right of picture, Defence Minister Peter Reith, who crawled off with his tail between his legs prior to the following election, fearing serious industrial backlash from his time as Minister for Industrial Relations.

Both of the mongrels gone now, but not forgotten. RAC Vic 2008
